Nigerians won't stop breaking records all over the world in all fields of endeavours as the country scores yet another first as a Nigerian emerged the first ever black Senator in Italy, his name, Tony Iwobi.
Senator Iwobi has been living in Italy for the last 40 years, a nation he traveled to with a student visa in the 1970's where he married an Italian and where he started his own IT company. He was elected as a senator in the industrial city of Brescia in Northern Italy which is a hub of immigration activities. Nigerians in the United Kingdom and all over the world are happy about this development as one of their own takes a place of honour in a land that he is seen as a foreigner.
He was born in Gusau in Northern Nigeria before he sought to further his education with a sojourn to Italy where he emerged the first ever black to become a senator.
This is just evidence that you can make it even the odds are against you just as they were against Senator Iwobi who arrived the shores of Italy with only his bag, his student visa and his hopes of the future. There are two lessons to be learned from this great Nigerian, the first is if indeed as a Nigerian you must travel abroad, go through the front door and I mean do it illegality because so many of our citizens are living abroad illegally hence immigrations will begin to hound them and mete out the worst kind of treatment to them just as in the case of Libya. The second lesson is that Nigerians should contribute positively to the new environment being part of the solution and not the pollution just like Tony was and eventually he was rewarded with the office of a senator, the first black man ever to
Shocking!!! Italy's First Black Senator Is a Nigerian
