It was reported that a plane heading to Istanbul in Turkey from Dubai began to fail after the plane’s engine caught fire and crashed into the mountains of Iran.
All 11 on board died, according to Red Crescent, an Iran news agency.
A wealthy socialite and her friends were among the 11 people that died on Sunday when a private plane bringing them home from a Dubai bachelorette party crashed into an Iranian mountainside.
Mina Basaran, 28, from Turkey, is believed to have been aboard the private flight after throwing a bachelorette party in Dubai.
Eight passengers and three crew members.
The country’s Civil Aviation Organization spokesman, Reza Jafarizadeh, said the private jet crashed near Shahr-e Kord city, some 230 miles south of the capital Tehran.
Local villagers who reached the crash site in the Zagros Mountains reportedly found only badly burned bodies and no survivors.
The plane was identified as a Bombardier CL604, tail number TC-TRB by Turkey’s Dogan News Agency.
